    Review for Leonie Walton

Leonie Walton is the best. We have purchased three pieces from her. The first (Storm Approaching) was one she had painted on her pilgrimage to Santiago de Compostela. It is a standard scene of a grain silo (horreo) we all experience many times during the pilgrimage, but Leonie captured the simplicity, serenity and beauty of the experience in her painting that had deep and contrasting paint.

Based on that, we commissioned Leonie to paint the Cathedral of Santiago (Santiago Sunset). She carefully communicated back and forth with us between her home in Australia and ours in the U.S. Then, she said she could finish by a certain date – and she did. The acrylic painting is strikingly beautiful.

Next, after a trip to Cologne, we asked Leonie to paint the Cologne Cathedral. With her same responsiveness and skill, she used water color to create a more subtle and measured setting for this great and historic cathedral on the Rhine.

Visitors to our home consistently exclaim about the quality of Leonie’s work.

Leonie is reliable as a business person and superb as an artist. I cannot recommend her highly enough and hope we find a new subject for her soon.
