My husband gifted me a commissioned painting by Leonie of my 50th birthday lunch with friends at our property in the Noosa Hinterland. Leonie set up at our home and began her composition of the scene before her, even allowing each one of us to add a few brush strokes. The finished piece was more than I could have imagined, each person easily recognisable and the depiction could not have been more accurate, yet within Leonie's distinctive style which I love. Leonie captured the essence of the scene perfectly, the girls all deep in conversation and the colourful landscape beyond. Thank you Leonie, this beautiful piece of art takes me back to that wonderful day every time I look at it and I am so lucky to have one of your paintings in our home.
